Performaces by tribal and folk artistes are held on week-ends and on week days on prior request. This gives you an opportunity to observe first-hand the art and culture of Bengal as well as interact with the artistes themselves. If you are adventurous or simply curious, we also organise excursions to a local Santhal tribal village. Shantiniketan was the home of the poet and Nobel laureate Rabindranath Tagore and his legacy lives on in the form of the Vishwa Bharati University that he established here. Visits to the university and local handicraft centres are also organised.
